Life In A Day 2020

Image
Hi everyone On 25th July 2020 I took part in   Life In A Day . Legendary producer Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald invited all YouTube creators to participate in filming their daily life for a chance to it to be picked out and put into a documentary style film to then be uploaded to YouTube for all the world to see. The last documentary they created was filmed 10 years ago on the 25th July 2010. It's amazing how time has flown by and how much has changed since then. Living through a global pandemic and in lock down has been such a difficult experience for everyone. I hope that we can come out of this  soon and learn from this time. I think life will never be the same again. Below is my daily vlog which I submitted. Wearing a face mask whilst shopping, hand sanitising, scrolling through social media and looking my rabbit. I hope you enjoy it. Bunny Hugs, Hayley xxx

Aldi Lacura Too Legit Waterproof Mascara

Image
Hi everyone During my weekly essential food supplies shop I picked up a Lacura Cheeky Cheeks Palette . But also I brought with my own money a Lacura Too Legit Water Proof Mascara to test and review. This cruelty free mascara is a bargain at £5.99. The packaging looks modern and rather a similar dupe to Benefit's "they're real" mascara which unfortunately tests on animals. Primark also do a cruelty free version which is called P.S Wonderlash. I'm really enjoying trying Aldi's make up products so far on my blog and YouTube channel.  So first of all let's talk about the packaging. I love how it has customers feedback about how it lengths, volumizes and lifts lashes It doesn't look like it's a supermarket beauty product and it looks professional. Also the mascara itself is a gorgeous metallic blue. It's a great size to pop in your make up bag or on the go. But how does the formula feel like and what does it look like applied onto your lashes

Aldi's Lacura Cheeky Cheeks Palette Review

Image
Hi everyone. During UK lock down I haven't ventured out into the city centre to do any shopping despite the restrictions lifting. It makes me feel anxious being surrounded by so many people even socially distanced. What do you think? let me know in the comments below. At the moment I feel much more comfortable sticking to local supermarkets and shops. A couple of my make up supplies such as blusher, highlighter and mascara have unfortunately expired over the past few months. I think it's important to check your make up expiry dates as out of date make up can harbour bacteria causing irritation and acne. Also the older a product gets then the less they can work. On my YouTube channel I mentioned awhile back that I wanted to test and review more Aldi Lacura make up as it's affordable and cruelty free. I noticed whilst I was shopping at Aldi for my weekly essential food supplies the Lacura Cheeky Cheeks Palette. This is a bronzer, highlighter and blush trio pale

5 Inexpensive Ways To Look After Your Teeth

Image
Hi everyone!  During the corona virus pandemic the UK lock down has meant unfortunately that dentists have been closed for the past couple of months and now they are easing restrictions will be opening up for emergency treatments only (click here to be directed to the NHS website for information). On my YouTube channel I've shared my favourite beauty bits which I've brought during lock down that are easy to buy and affordable. One of the items included is a pack of 3 bamboo toothbrushes and it got me thinking that I should share inexpensive ways of looking after your teeth. So here are my top 5 inexpensive ways to look after your teeth.  1. Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste  *This product was gifted by Colgate, but all views are my own* If you have sensitive teeth like I do then I would recommend trying Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste.  In the Summer time I can't resist a delicious fruity mock tail or sugary fizzy drink but too many can cause

My Cervical Screening Story: High Abnormalities, LLETZ Treatment And Recovery

Image
Why am I smearing my lipstick? It's because I want raise awareness for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust  and getting your smear test done. I know that we are smack bang in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic. But if and when it's safe to do so, I encourage you to get tested. Smear tests take less than 5 minutes and it could potentially save your life. I've decided to share my cervical screening story and what has happened to me recently because it might help someone and if makes one person go for their smear test because of my story then that will make me feel so fulfilled. I don't believe that their should be any taboo with talking about smear tests seeing as though half of the population has a cervix. I mentioned on my Instagram story a few weeks ago that I had to go into hospital for treatment and this is the reason why. I went for my routine smear test early in March. My result arrived in the post few weeks later and it showed that I had high to severe a

My Crystal Collection

Image
Crystals are thought to improve the flow of positive energy and to help you get rid of any negative energy which builds up in the body and mind. I personally use them for emotional benefit and interior decoration. What I love about crystals is that they are rather similar to human beings because each piece is unique and beautiful in their own way. Nobody and no crystal is exactly same. Ever since I was a teenager I've always had a keen interest in the spiritual and metaphysical side of life. I believe that everyone has a life purpose to achieve while they are here in their lifetime. I think the planet earth is rather similar to a school. We are here to learn life lessons for our soul to grow.  I started collecting crystals back in 2005 when I was the age of 17.   I remember my first visit to a alternative shop in Nottingham called Ice Nine. I instantly fell in love with the smell of incense upon entering the store and I purchased my very first crystal which was a purple ameth

5 Ways To Uplift Your Mood

Hi Everyone, The UK is currently on lock down due to the corona virus pandemic.. The entire situation feels surreal, to me, but i'm glad that people are staying home and safe. I wanted to write a blog post to give you some ideas of what you can do if you are stuck at home and feeling sad. I struggle with anxiety so focusing on the things that I can do rather than on what I can't do helps me to cope. 1.Watch Videos Why not watch your favourite films or videos and find out some new recommendations from friends, family or social media. Spectrum Zodiac 6 Piece Set Review

Image
Hi everyone! During Christmas and New Years I decided to hibernate for the entire duration of the holiday period. It was great to be in my own little cocoon at home in the warmth with Netflix on, drinking endless amounts of cups of tea. I was enjoying myself too much to go out sale shopping so I decided to do it online instead. I'm not a fan of large crowds and busy buses as it triggers my anxiety so internet shopping is the way to go. I've decided this year that I am watching my spending habits and only purchasing items that I really need. I've been needing a new cruelty free make up brush set for along time and I didn't find the right set until now.  In the Superdrug sale I brought Spectrum Zodiac 6 piece set for only £4.99 and it's worth £40. What a bargain. In the set it contains a powder brush, precision brush, eyeshadow brush, blush brush, angled brush and a cute iridescent bag to keep them in.  The brush design is purple with iridescent stars.

Retro Gaming Night At Geek Retreat

Image
Hi everyone! On the evening of Friday 10th January. I went to a Retro gaming event that my friend James from  ItsMuchMore  hosted at Geek Retreat Nottingham for one night only. I hope there are plenty more events to come. Follow me on Twitter   and I'll update you to let you know of any gaming events in the future . The consoles avaliable to play were the Sega Dreamcast, Sega Mega Drive Mini, Super Nintendo Classic Mini, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Game Cube, Sony PlayStation, Sony PlayStation 2 and Atari Flashback 8 HD Gold. All of the consoles had a wide variety of games to play. I love how games can bring people together because everyone at the event happily chatted to eachother and reminisced about their favourite games and consoles. I met one elderly gentleman who had never played on a console before in his entire life. He was thrilled that he got to learn how to play virtual tennis on the Play Station 2. It was very sweet. Games are for all ages and it just goes to show t

What I Got For Christmas 2019

Image
Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you a few lovely presents that I received on Christmas Day. These were gifted by friends and family. I'm so grateful to have such nice things and wonderful people in my life.  So first of all I received a big box of Cadbury's Milk Tray (2 tiers) which didn't last long at all on Christmas Day. The hazelnut swirls and caramel hearts were my favourites. I received a beautiful Pandora "Shine Bright" bracelet (with a heart charm) which I think will be one of my positive affirmations for the new year. I also received a box of Lush Snow Fairy goodies (snow fairy is my favourite scent from Lush), 3 Robin candles and an Aquarius zodiac mug which I'll look forward to drinking many cups of tea out of in 2020,    L ast but not least I got gifted a Marks & Spencer Chocolate and coconut liqueur. It's a vegan dupe of Baileys. It has a smooth texture, very boozy and sweet. This year I'm going to try and
